Some of you might remember my mentioning cork trees near Collioure, and just what a revelation it was to me see such things and to realise how sustainable they really how – it takes around five years from one bark harvest until the tree is ready to be harvested again.
Well, thanks to more of this lovely social media, we can all find out more about cork and why it's environmentally sound and sustainable here.
So proper corks are better than the plastic ones – and not just because they're easier to actually get off your corkscrew after you've pulled them.
